Its been a long time since I posted something, I don’t have anything to say really, but I will talk about something today just for you!
Recently I was thinking of buying a new car. I was so tempted to get an SUV type, so I went on and asked my friends on which car do they recommend, and they answered:-
1. Infinity FX 35
2. Nissan Mourano
3. Porsche Cayenne S
4. Range Rover Vogue
There are others that they recommended, but I didn’t like to mention them.
So I look at the list on top and went to each showroom to check out the cars. First of all I went to the Porsche, which was amazing to be honest, but the price tag dropped on me like a hammer from the 5th floor on a child’s head. A 22,500 KD for a Cayenne S sport edition. And the lame ones are about 20,00KD, I was so tempted to take one, it looks nice in the inside and nice on the outside. But I said I should give the other cars a chance.
So I went to check out the infinity, the FX35. Something amazing happened there, while I was trying to get into the car, I hit my head on the ceiling. Now, consider this.
A 163cm dude (shortie), and kinda fatty, hit his head on the ceiling while trying to get into an SUV car. That means……. Its either am getting Taller! (ROFL) or this car is way too small… I never hit my head on my Camaro.. the price tag on that is 15,000KD full option.
I looked at both of these cars price tag and said, why bother with the rest? The Rover is probably a 25,000ish and the Mourano is not my type. Too family’ish and friendly, I want something aggressive “ THE PORSCHE “.
I decided to get the Porsche! , yah 22,500KD! But then KFH (Kuwaiti Finance House) shattered my dreams by saying, you need a 11,000KD paid upfront.
Being destroyed, I checked how much I can actually waste on a car. Checking out my ability to pay and how much I can gather as upfront payment, I decided to go with the Infinity FX35, a 15,000KD, and KFH is willing to do it for me, so I asked my friends to come with me and check it out one last time.
We went there, and I sat in it for one last time. Took a look around, and I saw that small car shinning on me. I dropped myself out of the infinity fx35 and went to that shinny small car. And what I saw? The Nissan Z 350.
Now I don’t like the Z very much, but something told me to just sit in it. I opened the door, lowered my back and bended my knees to get inside the car. I squeezed myself inside, held the wheel and closed the door. Now currently I am one with the road. Am so low, I can feel the awesomeness of a sport car. I then realized…. What the Fuck was I thinking buying an SUV?,, do you know how much this is cooler? The long front dashboard, the gear and how it looks, the wheels, the long hood, the sporty look,. And then it stroked me. What I really wanted was a SPORT Car, Not a freaking SUV. I stepped out of the car and clearly declared. A SPORT CAR, to hell with SUVs.
I then decided to check out the Sport cars coming this year, and I already decided on one of the following 3:-
1. Nissan GT-R (2008) “ 20,000 ~ 25,000 KD “
2. Chevrolet Camaro (2009/10) “ 12,000 ~ 15,000 KD “
3. Chevrolet Corvette C6 (2009) “18,000 ~ 23,000 KD “
As you noticed, the prices differ a lot, the Corvette and GT-R are both in the same range, but the Camaro was just an assumption, I have no idea how much the Camaro will be, but looking at Chevrolet flag ship the corvette and its current price, I highly doubt the Camaro will be more than 14,000KD, if so, people will add 2-3,000KDs and get a corvette instead.
So far, the New Camaro wins my favor, since am a camaro fan and I already own a 1998 model, I would like to upgrade to the 2009/2010, but the question remains, when will they release it?, Also the new Camaro looks Awesome, but the interior looks kinda dull. Compared to the awesomeness of the GT-R. full with geeky stuff that I really want to mess around with!!!
I have no idea about other sports cars, if you think there are others that is better than the 3 I mentioned above, please say so.

Dude, I'm taller and I can perfectly get in the FX35 and drive it. You can also lower the seat, y'know? You drive a camaro so you're probably used to being dived in.
I don't highly recommend it since it doesn't even have a colored screen, and everything's so dull and not worth it. The speedometer's too plain and old looking, and you can't really have fun with the car. No "Sport" button, no turning off "Track control" button.
If you want a Cayenne that bad, take a used one. A lot of people buy it, yindibis feh, sell it in perfect condition.
If not, then the Corvette! It's delicious.
I'll probably go with the GT-R. if not, i'll stick with the Corvette. but time will tell, if the GT-R within my price range, i'll go for it, otherwise, i'll not dibis myself with it like you put it ;D
